22nd April 2012
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Manor end
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: F 1 - 4
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: 10C
Sea Temperature: cold
Weather: rain cold
Max Speed: 22.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 6.5 km (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Linked up with Colsey, Lord Swain, Steve C, Pete G, and Andy at the Manor end for a sail.
I think we had 4 seasons in a couple of hours, sun, wind, rain, thunderstorms, hailstone lightning..
It freshened for 20 minutes of on and I had some nice runs, without trauma!
The manor end was perfect, real blasting water, but with wind and tide, it was not possible to let rip downwind.
All had big 8.5’s up, wind varied 8 – 15kts W / SW, and tide was running quick.
Had we gone Fludg, Steve C might have been in pooh, as he lost a couple of groins when the wind dropped.
Best condition was from 10.00 really, but 3 stars for me on first run out of the year, hooked in blasting with the boys. Wish it was bit longer on the water and it wasn’t so cold.
Colsey was flying on 12M, and we were all planing sometimes.
Andy snapped a brand new long mast down hauling it! Windsurfing is a worrying sport.
